With the warmth of summer shining on us, we came up with 5 of our favourite ways to spend the day in Cornwall. From salty seas to starry skies, we reckon there's something for everyone!
1. Water Sports
Lowen Christian Centre is just a short drive from some of Cornwall's best outdoor activity centres offering water sports, including BF Adventure, Kernow Adventure Park, Elemental UK and WeSUP Paddleboarding.
With the bright sunny days and longer summer evenings coming up, we can't think of a better way to explore the Cornish coastline than to be on (or in!) the water.
2. The Beach
Lowen Christian Centre benefits from not only being surrounded by tranquil and peaceful countryside, but also being a 15 minute drive away from some of Cornwall's finest beaches. From Gylly Beach in Falmouth to Poldark's Church Cove, a trip to the beach promises to be a fun day out for all. Why not try a dip in the sea or an ice-cream while you're there?
3. A Woodland Walk
Cornwall is full of woodlands, countryside and coastal walks - there are a number of circular walks from Lowen Christian Centre. You could even walk through the woodlands to Constantine and reward yourself with an award winning cream tea from The Waymarker!
4. Campfire
A fine evening, a fire burning away, toasted marshmallows and maybe a song or two is the recipe for a perfect evening spent with friends.
With a BBQ, pizza oven and fire pit, there's no need to travel far when you can have your very own campfire evening at Lowen Christian Centre.
5. Stargazing
A clear sky, low levels of light pollution and a telescope are all you need to stand back and enjoy the beauty of a star-lit night sky. Although we can't promise a clear sky, we do have a telescope and low levels of light pollution along with lung-fulls of fresh country air to make a wonderful evening of admiring God's twinkling creation.
